Intermediate level students learn Java Script and Web Development.

Advanced and Alumni students work on projects using their programming skills.

Who is Girls Who Code for?

Any girl in 6th to 12th grade is welcome to apply. No coding experience is necessary! We will supply all materials. You just need to get to the UIC campus on Saturday mornings. Girls who attend must commit to being at 80% of our meetings to retain their membership.

MISSION: Girls Who Code programs work to inspire, educate, and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities. We strive to create gender parity in computing fields. We believe that more girls exposed to computer science at a young age will lead to more women working in the technology and engineering fields.

To join 2017-18 Girls Who Code at UIC program please fill out the form below. We require girls to commit to attending classes every week at the same time. Girls who are accepted will be contacted by email by the end of August.
