Title: Director of Business Operations
Bio: Jasmine Walker is the Director of Business Operations for the Center for Research on Women and Gender. In this role, she will manage the Center’s day-to-day administrative operations, finances, and human resource activities.
Prior to her arrival at UIC’s CRWG, Jasmine held the roles of business manager at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago. Most recently, she worked as the Team Administrator, Nuclear Challenges, at the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. She earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration at National-Louis University and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northeastern Illinois University as well as certificates in Web and Internet Development and Strategic Organizational Management from Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies.
Jasmine serves on university committees including the UIC’s Training Advisory Committee, (co-chair) Minority Women Concern's Subcommittee (Chancellor's Committee on the Status of Women), and (member) Staff Advocacy Committee (CCSW). Jasmine's professional memberships includes the American Management Association, National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), and the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA).
