Business Administrative Associate/Assistant to the Center Director

Jasmine Walker is the Business Administrative Associate for the Center for Research on Women and Gender. In this role, she will manage the Center’s day-to-day administrative operations, finances, grants management and human resource activities. Jasmine’s experience in higher education administration spans nearly two decades.
Prior to her arrival at UIC’s CRWG, she held the roles of business manager at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago. Her educational background includes a Master’s degree in Business Administration from National-Louis University; Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northeastern Illinois University; and certificates in Web and Internet Development and Strategic Organizational Management from Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies. Her university service includes the UIC Business Managers Training Advisory Committee (member), (co-chair) Minority Women’s Concerns subcommittee (Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Women), and (member) Staff Advocacy subcommittee (CCSW). Her professional memberships include the American Management Association (AMA), National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), and the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA).
