Jasmine Walker is the Business Administrative Associate for the Center for Research on Women and Gender.  In this role, she will manage the Center’s day-to-day operations, finances, and  human resource activities.

Jasmine has spent her career, of more than two decades, in higher education administration implementing best practices to ensure a more efficient workflow. Prior to her arrival at UIC’s CRWG, Jasmine held the roles of business manager at the University of Chicago (Office of the Secretary) and Northwestern University (Center for Catalysis and Surface Science and NUANCE Center). During her undergraduate studies at Northeastern Illinois University, she worked as the secretary to the Director of Financial Aid and as a student aide in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. Most recently, she worked as the Team Administrator, Nuclear Challenges, at the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

Jasmine earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration at National-Louis University and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northeastern Illinois University. She earned certificates from Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies in Web and Internet Development and Strategic Organizational Management. She is a member of UIC’s Training Advisory Committee, co-chair of the CCSW Minority Women’s Concerns subcommittee, and member of the CCSW Staff Advocacy subcommittee. Jasmine is also a member of professional organizations such as the American Management Association (AMA), and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA).
