Kristine ZimmermannKris Zimmermann joined the CRWG in 2003 and is currently an Assistant Director. In this position, she develops and coordinates and women’s health research, with a particular focus on community-based research, health promotion, chronic disease prevention, and rural women’s health. Ms. Zimmermann oversees Center communications and coordinates a variety of activities at the Center.

In addition to her work at the Center, she provides service to the campus as an active member of the Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Women (CCSW) and co-founder of CCSW’s Women’s Reading and Discussion (WoRD) book club. Ms. Zimmermann has a BS in Biochemistry and Sociology, and a Master’s Degree in Public Health. She is currently enrolled in the PhD program in Community Health Sciences at the UIC School of Public Health. Ms. Zimmermann is a 2012 recipient of the UIC Chancellor’s Academic Professional Excellence (CAPE) award.
