Ashley Horne, MSPH, joined the CRWG team in 2019 as a Visiting Research Specialist. In this position, she provides data support to a variety of CRWG projects. Ashley is skilled in conducting qualitative and quantitative research, survey development and analysis, as well as GIS programming and spatial analysis. Ashley’s research interests include social determinants of maternal health, perinatal mental health, maternal mortality and morbidity, and studying reproduction through a life course perspective.

Ashley received her Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) degree in Global Epidemiology from Emory University in 2017. Additionally, she holds Bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Health Science from the University of Iowa. Prior to joining the teat at CRWG, Ashley completed a CSTE Applied Epidemiology fellowship at the Illinois Department of Public Health, where she focused on maternal and child health epidemiology. Ashley also serves as a member of the Illinois Maternal Mortality Review Committee (MMRC).
