The Center for Research on Women and Gender is pleased to announce the 2013 Alice J. Dan Dissertation Research Award winners. The first place winners are Amy Brainer and Rachel Allison from the Department of Sociology, and Camille Quinn from the College of Social Work. The second place award was given to Smita Das from the Department of English. The annual Dan Dissertation award encourages original and significant research about gender and/or women by UIC doctoral students.
